WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Chuck Hagel (R-NE) announced that Region V Systems in Lincoln, Nebraska has been awarded a $500,000 grant by the U.S. Department of Health and Human
Services. Region V Systems is one of six behavioral health regions in Nebraska. Its mission is to promote comprehensive partnerships in behavioral health.
"This is important news for Nebraska. It is critical that organizations providing services to the needy are able to do so in an efficient and effective manner," Hagel said.
This funding will be directed toward the Compassion Capital Fund, and will offer training and technical assistance in five areas of capacity development to local grassroots and non-profit
organizations which provide basic services to the needy. The five areas include leadership development, organization development, program development, revenue development strategies, and community engagement.
